From December 1, 2025. Health insurance card (blue card) will not be used in hospitals,clinic..etc of Japan.

A New Health insurance (yellow card)with my number embed in it will come to practice. Note:- you will also need your mynumber card while visiting clinic or hospitals.

Question 1:- I do not have this card, what should I do? Or If you do not receive new isurance card?
=>Ans:- Visit to your nearest ward office or city office and apply for new isurance card.

Question 2:- I have old insurance card, What should I do? Or If Health insurance card (blue card) is not used?
=>Ans:- You have sendl old health insurance card (blue card) to insurance office. If you get your new insurance card though mail, you might also receive a return card envelope within it. Just put your old insurance card in it send it to the insurance office.
